Swimming Results!

Congratulations Gabriel and Raife Schreiber participated in the Freda Barnard Gala in Oudtshoorn over the weekend. Raife achieved a bronze medal in the 200m freestyle relay. Gabriel medaled in 11 out of his 15 races.

Liam Ellis once again excelled in the Pool at the annual Freda Barnard Gala held in Oudtshoorn His final medal tally was 4 x Gold and 2 x Silver across all disciplines.  Liam has now been officially recognised by Swimming South Africa as the youngest participant in this event nationally for 2017.

Erin Langenhoven took part in 11 individual races and three relays, she went home with a bronze medal and some great personal bests. #GOElkanahSwimming

Ockie Goosen Athletics Championships


Our athletes took part in the Ockie Goosen Top 10 Athletics Championships on Monday 30 October at Monte Vista Primary School. This was our second time taking part in this annual event which included Panorama Primary, Gene Louw, Bastion, Edgemead Primary, Table View Primary, Aristea, Eversdal Primary, Goodwood Park and Monte Vista.

With the most amazing effort, passion and grit, our school finished a historic 2nd place overall with Gene Louw winning the trophy and Eversdal Primary coming 3rd.

Our athletes also won 18 podium places on the day

Congratulations to Tim Korsten who participated in the U14 Inter District Tennis Tournament this past weekend. He has been elected to participate in the WP Trials on the 1st to the 3rd of December. We wish him all the best!

Athletics Champs!


Our athletes took part in the annual Lochnerhof Top12 Athletics Championships on Saturday 21 October at Hottentots Holland High School in Somerset West. The event, in it’s 27th year, was attended by 26 participating schools from as far and wide as Namibia, George and Langebaan.

Our athletics team delivered a record-breaking performance by bagging 8 medals. Our previous record was 3 medals in 2013.
